H&M + Mango Haul

Hey everyone! I am so happy to be writing again and sharing this blog post today. I am still in England with my boyfriend, and I’ve recently purchased some new clothing items that I’ve fallen in love with. H&M has always been a favorite store of mine, and it just so happens to be a popular store over in the UK too! Most of these pieces are from there, however I also stopped in a store called Mango and saw a few items I really liked. My boyfriend actually purchased the item I will be sharing with you today! I’ve been very inspired lately, and maybe it’s the clothes, where I am in the world, or the amount of love I feel in my life, but whatever it is, I’m grateful for it all. Let’s get into the haul!

Sweater Vest £12.99

Sweater vests are very trendy right now, but to be completely honest, I didn’t think I’d ever wear one. I did not care for the style, however when I saw this one at H&M recently I thought maybe I would try to create an outfit with it! Plus, since it was so affordable, I thought I would be worth it. That’s one thing I love about H&M; the clothing is not crazy expensive, and often times the quality is great too! I love the simplicity of this sweater vest, and while there were many other options, I like to stick to neutrals most of the time because simple pieces like that will go with anything! This looked so stylish over a black turtleneck, but it could also be worn over a button-up top!

V-Neck Cardigan £14.99

Next I purchased this adorable white v-neck cardigan. I like the simple design and that the ruffles on the hem and sleeves add something a bit more unique. I also really like that it is a bit more cropped than a typical cardigan. It is a very flattering piece, and once again, white always looks beautiful! While it is a thinner material, you could wear many things underneath; a thin turtleneck or mock neck top, a skin toned tank top/cami, or even an everyday tank top. You could also later items on top of this in case it’s just a bit too cold where you are!

Houndstooth Skirt £5.00

I absolutely love the houndstooth print, and once fall/winter come around, this print seems to be everywhere you turn! I adore it because it always looks so classy. You don’t need to spend tons of money to look stylish or classy. It isn’t the warmest material ever, but it does not feel paper thin either. Worn over black tights or with knee/thigh high boots (with knee/thigh high socks) would be perfect too! I like the simplicity of the skirt with the added tiny slits in the front. Although this is considered a mini skirt, it does not feel too short or too long. I think it is the perfect length for a shorter skirt; classy yet fun!

White Button-Up Top £12.99

This is just a classic piece that I believe everyone should own. I was specifically looking for one when I walked into H&M, and there were quite a few to choose from; even some in different colors and lengths. I knew I wanted to go with white, and when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. This top is 100% polyester but I love that it feels almost like satin. The one complaint with tops like these is that they wrinkle so easily, so I’ll definitely have to keep an iron handy when I plan to wear it. It is the perfect length; not too long or too short for me. It’s a staple that I can see myself wearing with so many different outfits. You can keep it casual and wear it with a pair of ripped jeans and sneakers, or tuck it into a nice pair of black ankle pants for a more professional look.

Cigarette Pants £17.99

A small story goes along with these pants. I saw these at an H&M and fell head over heels for them, however my size was not in stock. A few days later I went to a different H&M and yet again, my size was not in stock. I decided to try one more H&M and luckily enough, my size was there, so I purchased them straight away! I was so happy because I really do love the style of these. These look very chic, and they never seem to go out of style. They are called cigarette trousers, and I believe this style has been around and adored for decades! Of course, the print is houndstooth, but what I like about these in particular is that the print is not your typical black and white; it is black and beige. The colors go so well together, and these are also so very comfortable. I own a few pairs of ankle pants, and these have now been added to the collection. They may not keep you incredibly warm in the winter, but they are too cute to resist! They may be best for fall, depending on where you live in the world. You can wear these with pretty much any plain colored top (especially neutral colors).

Green Mock Neck Top £17.99

Lastly, I decided to stop in Mango to see what was available. I had never been in this store before, so I was curious. The prices seemed very reasonable, and I found many pieces that are very me! I ended up trying on a couple things, but I ultimately fell in love with this forest green mock neck top. My boyfriend and I really love this color, and we have been looking for a few items in the exact color for ourselves. After trying it on and loving it completely, my boyfriend was kind enough to buy it for me. I am very grateful (and hoping to return the favor soon)! The material is so nice as well, and this is such a perfect layering piece! You can wear it under a cardigan, a blazer, or a nice coat. The color is stunning for fall and winter, so you truly can’t go wrong.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about these new purchases! I always love shopping at H&M because there’s always something new to fall in love with, and chances are you will be able to afford it! Thank you for reading, and have a great day! Check out my Instagram @sacchere14 for a reel I created styling these pieces.

Fall + Winter Fashion Essentials

From a very young age, I have had such a love for fashion. I love looking into and keeping up-to-date with seasonal trends and styles, and I always have so much fun creating different looks. I always say that my style is “all over the place” meaning that I like to change up what I wear pretty often. Some days I may want to wear a pink floral dress whereas other days I want to wear all black. It truly depends on my mood, however I do tend to come back to classy and elegant pieces (this is my go-to style).

Today I wanted to share some of my staple pieces for the fall and winter seasons! I absolutely love the fashion around this time of year because it always looks so chic, stylish, and classy. I will also share a few tips on how you can style these pieces in different ways. Some of these items are new, whereas a couple others are older. These are things that I believe everyone should have in their wardrobe for fall and winter!

Fitted Tank or Tee:

We’re starting off pretty basic, but honestly, we all need a comfortable yet stylish top that we can easily pair with all of our looks. Whether you are in a hurry or you are carefully planning your outfit, you’ll find yourself reaching for something like this very frequently. It may seem silly to mention, but I think finding your perfect t-shirt or even a great tank top can pull an outfit together very nicely. This tank top pictured above is from H&M (as many of the pieces I am sharing today are) and I purchased this for $6. While this is such a simple piece, I love it because of the high neckline and sometimes I enjoy wearing crop tops (depending on the look I want to go for). I like that this is a cream color, however it also comes in pink, black, and brown. You can wear something like this, or a white t-shirt with a patterned blazer, a warm cardigan, or a nice long coat. Or if you are more likely to be found indoors during the colder months, this is the perfect top to lounge around the house in! Sometimes, when creating a new wardrobe, you have to take a step back and purchase basic pieces before jumping into the latest trends.

Turtlenecks:

Before you skip past this and keep reading, just hear me out! I know that not everyone loves turtlenecks because they can sometimes feel restricting or too tight/uncomfortable. What I say to that is, you haven’t found the right one for you yet, and that’s ok! I just adore the look of turtlenecks because in my opinion, high necklines are always classy. Turtlenecks are the epitome of fall/winter fashion. I always like to try things on when I am shopping in person, and I recommend that you do the same. This way you can truly get a feel for the fabric and you can see how something will look on your body type. The thing about turtlenecks is that they can look good on everyone. Of course, the main thing you’ll want to look out for is if the turtleneck is too tight, however you also do not want one that is too flimsy and loose. There is a perfect in-between, I promise! I would recommend checking out a store like H&M, ASOS, or Missguided because their pieces are very affordable yet stylish. You can even look at places like Walmart, T.J.Maxx or Ross! These two pictured here are from H&M and I purchased them for around $17 each. There were a few options when it came to color, but I would always recommend sticking to neutrals for fall/winter fashion because it looks chic, and you can style the pieces in SO many different ways. If this is just not your thing, I would say think about buying a mock-neck top! This will give you a similar look to a turtleneck, however it won’t feel restricting since the neckline does not go up too high.

Blazers/Jackets:

I have always been a big fan of wearing blazers. I love the professional look that they can give to any outfit, and they make me feel so empowered and confident! I know they can seem a bit intimidating to people who haven’t worn them, but I think everyone should find a blazer that they love. They come in many different styles, but at the moment, longline (or loose-fitting) blazers are on trend. The one pictured above is my favorite right now! It is gray with a black windowpane pattern, and it is a longline blazer. I think it would look amazing over a fitted cropped tank and a baggy pair of straight-leg jeans, especially if you wanted to go a more trendy route. Or if you wanted to keep it elegant, a black turtleneck with some fitted black ankle pants would be perfect as well! You can even keep it casual by wearing a nice white t-shirt underneath. Layering is one of my best tips for this time of year, and what better way to do that than by adding a nice blazer?! Another item is a cropped jacket/blazer like the second photo pictured above. I am so in love this one that my boyfriend bought for me while I was visiting him in England. I really like the black trim as well as the pattern because it is not too bold, but it isn’t simple either. It is unique and definitely my style! I love the nice collar on this jacket too. Since the collar is folded down, it would look best with a high neckline top underneath. I can see this being worn with a black turtleneck.

Trench Coat:

One of my favorite things that I own! If you take anything from this blog post, let it be this: a trench coat will change the game for your wardrobe. The one pictured was purchased when I went to France right before the pandemic hit. I thought what better place to buy a trench coat? I bought this at a store called Pimkie (it reminded me of an H&M) and it was around 50 Euros. The material is not too heavy, but it is also not thin, which is perfect for me. In the winter, I tend to get hot when layering clothing, so a piece like this was exactly what I needed. I just completely love the look of trench coats because they are so elegant and they can take any outfit to the next level. I went for a classic light brown color. This one ties at the waist, but I prefer to keep mine open so my outfit underneath is seen. They come in a variety of styles and colors, but of course, I prefer neutral. I wouldn’t say no to buying one in a different color (like pink), however if you are on a budget, but wanting to create a more classy/put together wardrobe, I would go with a light brown or black. Truly anything can go under a trench coat (especially if it is a neutral color). You can opt for a nice chunky sweater, a turtleneck, a t-shirt, a nice tank top; the possibilities are endless. Even if you wanted to dress very casually but you weren’t sure what would look good, adding a trench coat will solve that problem.

Flare pants:

Flare pants are back in style which makes me SO happy! I didn’t own any until very recently when I came across this pair at H&M for $25. They fit me like a glove, and I love that they are very form fitting until they reach mid-calf. They are high-waisted as well, which is exactly what I wanted. Flares always remind me of the 70’s which I think is really fun, and because these are black, they will match anything. You can go for something bright and patterned on top, or you can keep it simple. I typically prefer to wear a loose top with tight bottoms or vice versa, however with these pants, any kind of top would look great because you get the best of both worlds. I really love the look of these pants with a cropped and fitted tank top and pointed-toe black booties. The pants make me look a lot taller than I am, and a fitted top with also help with that appearance. When in doubt, you could always go for an all black or a black and white look. These pants are very versatile, comfortable, and trendy!

High-waisted straight leg jeans:

We all know that high-waisted mom jeans have been in style for a few years now, and it’s safe to say that I’ve been obsessed. After getting some good use out of high-waisted skinny jeans, I eventually switched over to straight leg jeans (and I do not want to look back)! I still think that skinny jeans can look great with the right outfit, but overall, I definitely prefer straight-leg jeans now. If you are looking for a new pair of jeans and you want them to be on trend, you may want to stick to high-waisted baggy jeans. I really love the look of cropped bottoms, but even a pair that goes all the way down your leg is perfect for the fall/winter seasons. I fell in love with the ones pictured for many reasons. I thought they were very me, and I previously did not own any gray jeans. I got these for a steal at H&M because they were only $13! They are such great quality too! I think these are currently my favorite pair of jeans. I think that jeans like these are always so flattering, and the baggy look is very cool and edgy. I definitely recommend choosing something like this for your go-to pair of jeans this season!

Chunky boots:

Lately when browsing the internet and doing some shopping, I have seen chunky black boots EVERYWHERE. At first I didn’t think that these were really my style. I often prefer to wear shoes that are a bit more sleek. Well, I decided to give chunky boots a try and now I am obsessed! I recently purchased these London Rebel Lace-Up Boots from ASOS. I got them on sale, which I was super happy about! They are originally around $45-$55 dollars, and I got them for $20 (shipping included)! I couldn’t be more pleased with them. I love the different material on them, and I like that they aren’t too over the top or too big and chunky, but they still fit the trend perfectly. The silver detailing is very cool as well, and I think that these can be worn with many trendy pieces. I wouldn’t necessarily wear them with everything, but I thought that these could be my go-to boots for fall and winter. If you’re looking to buy some big, chunky boots this season, definitely go for black (or nude has also been popular). I’ve seen many people wearing chunky ankle boots, but if you prefer something different, chunky knee-high boots are also in. You don’t have to spend a ton of money because there are many stores that have affordable boots that are also decent quality, plus, sales are always happening!

I created an IGTV video where I discuss these pieces a bit more in depth, and I also show how I would style them in different ways. I would really appreciate it if you checked it out on my Instagram: @sacchere14. I hope this post gave you some fall/winter fashion inspo, and that you are feeling ready to take on the cooler months in the coolest clothes! Thank you for reading. Until next time!

Summer to Fall Transition Outfits + Tips

Hey everyone! If you have been following and keeping up with my blog from the beginning, you may remember that I created a similar blog post around this time last year! I absolutely love the fall season, and I am excited to start breaking out my sweaters and booties!

For today’s blog post, I wanted to share a few outfits that can be taken from summer to fall. It’s not always easy to transition your wardrobe from season to season, but especially around this time of year (though it may depend on where you live). Where I live, summer can linger for a little bit longer than most people would like, however, around mid-September, (aka, right now), things finally begin to cool down!

I will be sharing three different looks that I took from summer to fall. The smallest details made these outfits much more suitable for fall, and I loved putting these looks together!

Outfit #1

For this first look, I took a patterned halterneck tank, a pair of denim shorts, and a pair of heeled colorblock sandals. I also decided to add some rose gold sunglasses to complete the look. I made a few small changes to this look, however I wanted to keep the top because it is actually a perfect transition piece for this time of year. It isn’t exactly hot outside, but it’s not too cold either, so I still like to wear sleeveless tops around this time of year. The colors in this top are dark and include both purple and blue, making it more fitting for fall! I then took my favorite pair of straight leg jeans, and tucked in the front of the top. I threw on a warm black cardigan (just in case it’s a cooler day outside). Layering is a great tip for this season, and it adds a cute and casual touch to any outfit. Lastly, I put on a pair of booties! These are simple taupe ankle boots that I adore and love to wear in the cooler months! This outfit can be worn for most occasions, but overall it is the perfect everyday fall look.

Outfit #2

I think this may be my favorite outfit of the three! To start, I took a simple forest green/emerald tank tucked into a pair of black paper bag shorts that tie at the waist. I had a pair of white sandals, and my favorite summer panama hat. I decided to keep the main pieces of this look the same, and change up and add accessories. I love the color combo of emerald and black, and once again, the color of this top is perfect for this time of year! I added a very light black wrap coat that I wear very often (it gives any look a bit more of a classy and professional vibe), and I am wearing my new snakeskin booties. Snakeskin has been trending for a little while now, and I had been wanting a pair of snakeskin boots so badly! I finally found a very affordable pair from Just Fab! I have become a big fan of hats this year, which is strange because I was never a hat person! I am obsessed with this black fedora that I purchased earlier this year! Whether it’s a fedora, a beret, or a cabby hat, it will complete your fall look beautifully.

Outfit #3

For the last outfit, I changed it up quite a bit! I started off with a simple black tie-front tank with a pair of navy patterned shorts. I love wearing white in the summer, so I wore my white Stan Smiths. I also added a cream colored cardigan. To transition this look, I swapped my shorts for a pair of black high waisted jeans, and I took off my cardigan for a beautiful light trench coat. I bought this coat when I was in France earlier this year, and it has become one of my favorite pieces of clothing that I own! It is perfect for fall, and it adds a bit of French flair to the look! Of course, no fall look is complete without boots (at least for me)! I went with black pointed toe booties. Any shoes with pointed toes can make an outfit instantly classy, and I love how comfortable these are! Lastly, to go along with the whole French vibe, I threw on a black beret, also purchased in France (call me a typical tourist)!

Some fall trends for 2020:

  • Preppy clothing
  • Metallics
  • Patchwork
  • Capes
  • Plaids
  • Snakeskin
  • Subtle fringe detailing
  • Lingerie inspired clothing
  • Embellishments
  • Drawstring details
  • Colored leather
  • Cutouts
  • Trending colors: rust, marigold, chartreuse, jewel tones

Thank you so much for reading today’s blog post! Leave me a comment and tell me which look is your favorite! Don’t forget to check out my Instagram, @sacchere14, to see a fun little transition video I made wearing these outfits!

OOTD: Thanksgiving 2019

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American readers/followers! I hope that you are having a beautiful day full of family and good food! Today I wanted to share my Thanksgiving OOTD (outfit of the day) with you! I know to some it may seem silly to dress up when you are only going to be in your dining room all day, but still, I enjoy dressing up and looking put together all of the time!

This outfit of the day is going to be pretty simple. I recently purchased this jumpsuit from Lulus.com (a new favorite store of mine)! This is the “Lace and Lies Terra Cotta Crochet Lace Cropped Jumpsuit”. I purchased this jumpsuit for $16.00! When I was online shopping for some holiday outfits, I happened to come across this jumpsuit and I knew I had my Thanksgiving outfit. Not only is this outfit comfortable for me to lounge around in while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner, but it is also fashionable and perfect for the end of fall!

As someone who has an absolutely terrible shopping addiction, it is important for me to find stores that have affordable yet stylish pieces, and Lulus.com has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop! This is where I bought the “Someday Swoon Royal Blue Embroidered Midi Dress from my “End-of-Summer Blues OOTD”! I also purchased a dress that I will share with you on Christmas Eve, so stay tuned for that!

On Thanksgiving Day, my family always wakes up to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I will usually eat a very small breakfast and we won’t eat very much at all until the dinner is ready! I spend Thanksgiving with my immediate family. I have a pretty big family, so they are all I need! I love being able to spend a day at home, just relaxing and eating some good food with the people I love the most! (Not going to lie, I am so excited for Black Friday shopping too!)

I am grateful for my family, my friends, my health, my education, and of course all of you! I really appreciate those of you who read my blog posts and follow me! It means so much and I love being able to write and share what’s in my heart with the world. I hope that I can continue to inspire you and help you on your journey to confidence!

Thank you for reading! Leave me a comment below and tell me what you are thankful for, and what your favorite Thanksgiving food is (mine is mashed potatoes and we make a delicious meat stuffing every year)!

OOTD: Does it Come in Black?

Hey everyone! I wanted to share an ootd (outfit of the day) with you today because I am obsessed with this look that I put together!
There is something about wearing all black that makes you feel powerful. I created this look using a couple new additions to my wardrobe!

First, we need to talk about this shirt! This is the “Illusion Sweetheart Crop Top” in black. I purchased this adorable top from Forever 21 for $22 this past summer, and I am just now getting around to wearing it! I love the polka dot mesh and the ruffle combination!

I then paired this top with these belted high rise ankle pants from Charlotte Russe. I bought these pants right before the store closed. If you weren’t aware, Charlotte Russe went out of business earlier this year. They used to be my favorite store, but now that they’re back, I haven’t heard many great things about them. If I do decide to shop at Charlotte Russe again, I will let you know what I think of the quality of their clothing!

Next, you may be familiar with this jacket since it was in my “Finally Fall OOTD”. I will most likely be wearing this piece all season! It is the “Faux Leather Hooded Moto Jacket” in camel/gray. I purchased this jacket from Forever 21 this past summer for $15.

And lastly, my other recent purchase, these ankle boots! These are the “Faux Suede Booties”, also from Forever 21. I had been looking for a nice pair of pointed toe ankle boots for a while now, so when I came across these I had to have them! I paid around $20 for these shoes!

I truly believe that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to look put together or fashionable. I am not too sure how much the pants I am wearing cost, but they were most likely no more than $20, making this outfit’s total come to around $80.
I love planning and putting outfits together and being able to share them with you! Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD: Finally Fall

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share an ootd (outfit of the day) with you! When I tell you I have been waiting FOREVER to share this outfit with you, I mean it! I am so excited to start wearing boots and jackets and that it is finally feeling like fall!

Let’s start with one of my newest obsessions! First, I want to talk about this adorable brown faux leather jacket! I bought this jacket from Forever 21 this past summer for $15! I’ve never owned a brown one, but I think I may like the look of it more than a black one! I feel like a brown leather jacket gives off a completely different vibe and I think that it can make your look a bit more casual than a black one would (especially with the attached gray hood that mine has)!

I then paired this jacket with my other new obsession. Can we talk about these jeans?! These are the “Kanta High Waisted Straight Leg Jeans” in the color Medium Indigo. I absolutely LOVE the look of two toned jeans, and these ones are from PacSun! I purchased these jeans for about $50. I am a major fan of high waisted jeans, and honestly if they ever go out of style, I will still refuse to go back to low rise jeans.

Under the jacket, I am wearing a simple gray t-shirt that I bought from Forever 21 for $10. And lastly, I paired the outfit with my favorite ankle boots that I got from Charlotte Russe last year.

Thank you for checking out my newest blog post! I love sharing ootd’s, and I can’t wait to share more with you! Until next time!

How to Transition Your Wardrobe From Summer to Fall

Today I wanted to share a few tips on how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall! I am so over the heat at this point and I am ready to start busting out my sweaters and knee high boots, but it is still around 80-90 degrees where I live (it is cooling down a bit though)! I decided to share three different outfits to wear when it isn’t cool enough out for jackets and scarves, but it is just starting to cool off enough to take some of your staple fall pieces and incorporate them into your wardrobe!

If you haven’t been able to tell already from my ootd’s (outfit of the days), I love wearing dresses! If it is warm out, you will probably see me wearing a dress. I bought this dress almost a year ago and I am just now getting the chance to wear it. (I think it’s because I buy way too many clothes, but that’s beside the point!)

The first thing I do when summer ends, is I start incorporating fall colors into my wardrobe. By wearing colors like navy, olive, burgundy, maroon, or mustard, you will be using your wardrobe to transition into fall seamlessly.  The outfits will feel and look a lot more fall-like than if you were to wear bright colors like you would in the summertime! I paired this dress with my favorite ankle boots at the moment. Booties are the perfect addition any outfit in the fall, and they are a staple piece in my wardrobe for this season!

This second outfit is one of my favorites! I paired a very simple and basic piece with a fancier statement piece from my wardrobe. If you’re a fan of florals and you just don’t want to let them go, you can absolutely wear them all year round! If you want to wear florals in the fall, make sure that the colors of the clothing are seasonal. These wide leg capri pants are the perfect way to wear floral prints while still incorporating the color burgundy, which is my favorite fall color. They are also flowy and not made of an incredibly thick material, so I won’t get too hot! Underneath is just a simple black body suit. I wore these beautiful taupe heels as well. I also decided to wear a cardigan with this outfit because it gives the look a bit more of a cozier feel.

And lastly, I wanted to share a bit more of a casual outfit for those of you who aren’t very girly. If you wore crop tops all summer long and you want to wear them in the fall, you still can! I wore this olive green crop top with a pair of blue high waisted jeans. I also put on these brown heels that were in my “Coral Me crazy” ootd. If you want an even more casual look, swap out the heels for a stylish pair of sneakers! I took the same gray cardigan from the previous outfit and paired it with this outfit as well. I don’t own one at the moment, but I think that a brown fedora screams fall! A hat like this would be perfect with the navy blue dress or the outfit pictured below.

I hope that you found these tips helpful, and if you’re still dealing with 80-90 degree weather like me, don’t you worry, we will all be complaining about the cold weather soon enough! Thank you for reading!
