Hey everyone! I hope you are having a beautiful day wherever you may be! I am very excited that fall has arrived because I find everything about this time of year so beautiful; the vibrant colors, the cool and crisp weather, and of course, the fashion! Today, I wanted to share some of my go-to fall and winter shoes! These are just a few pairs that I wear most frequently at this time of year!
- Ankle Boots
I think that ankle boots are my absolute favorite shoes to wear, mostly during the fall! There are a variety of patterns and designs to choose from, and they can dress up any look! I own quite a few pairs, and while they all look pretty different, the one thing they all have in common is that they are heels. I am not a big fan of stiletto type heels, and I often prefer to wear chunky and short heels. I find that they are not only easier to walk in, but they are more comfortable as well. They are just as stylish, and they can be worn for many occasions!
- Snakeskin patterned boots
Snakeskin has been trending for a little while now, and I finally got my hands on a pair of snakeskin ankle booties! These are so on trend right now, and I purchased mine from Just Fab! They were very affordable, and they are my newest obsession! I plan to wear them all season long! While they are a bit bold, and not typically something I would have reached for, I have completely fallen in love with them! If you haven’t tried out the snakeskin trend, I recommend it! Who knows, maybe you’ll surprise yourself like I did!
- Knee-high boots
I would say that I wear these more in the winter, however I love that they can pretty much be worn with anything! I style knee-high boots with jeans, skirts, dresses, and shorts! Where I live, it does not get very cold in the fall, and in the winter we will sometimes have pretty warm days! One Christmas Eve, I was wearing shorts and a tank top with the AC on! Knee-high boots look great with almost every fall/winter outfit, and I prefer to wear simple black suede ones. As I mentioned, I like a little bit of a lift, so these have a chunky heel as well.
- Combat boots
I love the edgy look of combat boots in the fall and winter! I own a pair of brown ones at the moment, however I am hoping to find a nice pair of black ones with silver detailing (feel free to leave recommendations below)! They can definitely look stylish and cute with dresses, shorts, or skirts, however, I enjoy wearing them with jeans the most! These shoes can spice up any look, and even make the most feminine outfit look edgy.
- Pointed-toe boots
I love a professional look from time to time, and pointed-toe shoes are a simple way to make any outfit a bit more classy. I own a pair of black suede pointed-toe ankle booties, and I find myself reaching for them often. These shoes are very versatile as well! I know that some people are not a fan of this style, however, I like them because they are very fashionable and they can be worn for most occasions these days. They really are shoes that can go from day to night; from the office to dinner with the girls.
- Flat boots (riding boots)
I was not exactly sure how to describe these shoes, however I wanted to include them because they are perfect for those of you who aren’t a fan of heels and prefer a simple yet cute fall/winter shoe! I have a pair of black flat riding boots that are perfect for this time of year. I do not wear them very often anymore, but they are a great option for those casual fall or winter days. If you do not enjoy wearing heels, these shoes are great, and they can be worn for special occasions or casual days running errands or going shopping.
- Rain boots
Where I live, fall and winter are not incredibly rainy seasons, however I wanted to include these because I bought a pair of adorable chelsea rain boots earlier this year, and I think they are just adorable! I wore these when I went to France in March. It was a pretty rainy week while I was there, so these shoes were perfect because they kept me dry, and they are very stylish as well. I never thought rain boots could be stylish, but I have found that chelsea rain boots can be worn in rain or shine and with most outfits!
It rarely snows where I live, but if you live in a very snowy area, then of course, I recommend owning a nice pair of snow boots that will keep you warm and dry! There are definitely days when I prefer to simply wear sneakers over any of these shoes, however I would say these are my top favorite styles and pairs!
I hope that you enjoyed today’s blog post! Let me know what your go-to fall/winter shoes are! Until next time! (Check out my Instagram: @sacchere14) for a fun little video I made wearing some of the shoes!)
