Winter is in full swing but that won’t stop me from wearing dresses! Luckily where I live it doesn’t get absolutely freezing in the winter. Winters where I live usually look like 40-50 degree weather. Recently, I decided to check out one of my favorite stores, H&M. As I was shopping, I found this dress and quickly fell in love with it.

This dress is a part of the Richard Allan X H&M: Wearable Art collection and I purchased it for $18. I also saw a shirt with this same pattern at the store, but of course, I chose the dress. After doing a quick google search, I found that Richard Allan was a famous scarf designer during the swinging sixties in London. H&M describes the pieces in this collection as, “Abstract, avant-garde design in high-octane color.”

This dress is perfect for the winter time, and I love the unique pattern as well as the sleeves! It definitely reminds me of the sixties. My mother even described it as “hippie-ish”. The pattern is incredibly bold, so I like that the colors are more neutral (pink, gray, white, and black). I feel that this dress is perfect for most occasions and could be worn for anything from work to a girl’s brunch. I wore this dress for lunch with my family this past weekend. I am almost always overdressed, but at this point I’m so used to it!
I paired this dress with my black knee-high boots that I purchased a couple years ago from Charlotte Russe. As I have mentioned before, these are pretty much my go-to shoes in the fall/winter. Underneath the boots, I wore some knee-high socks to stay warm. Wearing knee-high socks also keeps the boots from slipping down my legs.

As for jewelry, I am wearing these beautiful gold fringe earrings and these two simple gold rings. These pieces were my mother’s but she let me have them a few years ago. I wear the two gold rings every day. Lastly, I wore a simple pair of black sunglasses that I purchased from H&M.

Thank you so much for checking out my newest blog post! I hope you’re all having an amazing day! Until next time!
